Design a Shirt

Would you like your artwork displayed on a t-shirt for all to see for the 2012-13 school year?  Submit your artwork for next year's Flame Fanatic t-shirts to the Athletic Office by the deadline, Monday, May 21.  Winner will receive a $25 Visa Gift Card.  Designs must be in one color and Flame Fanatics must be visible on the t-shirt.  See the Athletic Office staff for more details.

SENIORS AWARD NIGHT

Senior Awards Night will be held on Thursday, May 17 at 6:30 p.m. All seniors who have applied for scholarships should attend! Seniors who receive scholarships and grants from colleges and sources other than those offered through Lodi High, should contact Mrs. Jauregui @ bjauregui@lodiusd.net, so we can include you in our Awards program.  All students and parents are encouraged to attend this fun and exciting event!

SENIORS

NEW INFORMATION: The deadline to pay fees/dues to walk in Graduation is May 23rd at 2:30 p.m.!  NO EXCEPTIONS!

SeniorsOrder your final transcript from the Registrar’s Office before you graduate.  Colleges will be requesting a final transcript from you as part of the admissions procedure.  This applies to Delta College as well.  Order them now while they are still FREE!  If the college is out-of-state, bring the address.

Seniors- Applications for summer and fall terms at Cosumnes River, Sacramento City, American River and Folsom Lake Community Colleges are now available. Apply now online at www.losrios.edu. There is no cost to apply to community colleges and you may apply to more than one campus. 

Seniors- If you will enroll in a career-technical training program after graduation and need money to pay for it, see Mrs. Jauregui, in the Career Center. There are 3 scholarships available right now that are specifically for those programs.  Awards range from $300 - $1,000 each. Qualifying programs include: fire-fighting, many health science-related careers, automotive, construction, cosmetology - and many more.       

IMPORTANT SENIOR INFO: Seniors - Cap & Gown? Go online to www.centralvalleygrad.com to place your order.  You must have a cap and gown to participate in the Graduation ceremony.  

Selective Service– The law says that all 18-year-old men must register with the Selective Service within 30 days of their 18th birthday.  They also accept early submission of registration information by 17-year-old men at age 17 years and 3 months.  They will be automatically registered when they turn 18.  Register on-line at www.sss.govor pick up a Selective Service registration card at any post office.  You risk your eligibility for future college student loans and grants, job training, state and federal jobs, and U.S. citizenship for immigrants if you do not register with the Selective Service.          

The LHS Graduation ceremony is Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 7:00 p.m. at the Lodi Grape Bowl. There will be two required Graduation practices on Tuesday, May 22 at 2:30 p.m. and Thursday, May 24 at 1:00 p.m.  Tickets will be handed out to seniors in early May. 

Senior Girls- You need to wear flat-soled shoes at graduation due to the artificial turf at the Grape Bowl facilities.  If anyone shows up to graduation with heels of any kind, you will not be able to participate in the ceremony and you will be sent home. Removing your shoes and going barefoot will not be an option.

LHS Blankets are available and make great graduation and memento gifts.  They are only $40 and please call 331-7676 for any questions.

LHSPC

Support Lodi High School and buy an LHS bracelet.  Three different options to choose from.  They are $3 each or two for $5.  See Ms. Yanez, in the North Administration Office, to purchase one.

LHS Parent Club is selling bricks.  These make great memento gifts for current students or alumni.  Order forms can be printed below or picked up in either office at Lodi High School. If you are interested in purchasing a brick or volunteering, please call 331-7761  or email at lhs_pc@yahoo.com for more information.

  • We are asking for donations of the following snacks to provide the student body during STAR Testing ... granola bars, rice krispy treats, nuts, breakfast bars, fruit rollups, and other individually wrapped snacks
  • Next meeting April 11, 2012 ... We will have an Educational Specialist speaking about helping students discover what best suits them for post-high school studies.  Meeting is in the Library from 7-8PM.
  • Last meeting of the year May 9, 2012 ... We will be previewing prom and graduation floral arrangements courtesy of Mrs. JessaLee Goehring, planning the end of year Staff Appreciation Luncheon and much more.

College & Career Center

Sophomores- Would you like to earn $1,400 this summer? And also gain community service hours, work experience, leadership skills and make connections for future letters of recommendation for college and scholarships? The Students in Prevention Program offers all these benefits and allows YOU to make a difference in your community by teaching young kids about the dangers of substance abuse. Minimum 2.0 GPA is required.  Stop by the Career Center today for an application. Two Lodi High sophomores will be hired.

FREE Math Tutoring

The Afterschool FREE Math Tutorial is Monday through Thursday, from 2:20-3:50 p.m. in Rm.  1A.

Home Access Center

The Home Access Center (HAC) provides access to your child’s attendance and grades. The information is real time and is available 24 hours a day. It is provided to assist you in keeping current with your child’s progress at school. The Username and Password are available at your child’s school. Grade Level Secretaries (High Schools) can provide this information. Once you have launched your web browser (Internet Explorer, Firefox, Safari) navigate to the Lodi Unified School District web page by typing in the following address: www.lodiusd.net

To access the HAC, on the LUSD homepage, on the left side of the page, under Resource Links in the Parents section, click on the words Home Access Center. This will take you to the login page for the HAC.  Once you have done this, it is recommended that you save this under your Favorites. 

ATTENDANCE

Students may not leave campus without receiving a Permit to Leave from the Attendance Office.  Students who are ill should report directly to the Attendance Office and staff will contact a parent.  Do not use your cell phone to call home or it will be documented as a cell phone violation.  Students arriving late to school need to bring a parent note to obtain a pass to class.  Remember, you only have 10 calendar days to clear an absence.
